Performance without compromise
Every server runs on NVMe storage with dedicated resources. We do not oversell nodes or share RAM between customers. When you pay for 8 GB, 8 GB is reserved for your containers.
About MelonNode
We are a small team that has been running Minecraft servers since 2017. After years of frustration with every hosting provider we tried, we decided to build exactly the platform we always wanted.

MelonNode started in 2022 as a straightforward hosting service for small Minecraft communities. We ran servers on shared hardware, used a standard panel, and kept prices low. It worked, but it was not the service we wanted to stand behind long-term.
In 2025 we shut everything down and rebuilt from scratch. We moved to dedicated hardware on Scaleway's POP2 platform in Paris — enterprise CPUs, NVMe storage, and isolated containers with no resource sharing. More importantly, we wrote a completely custom control panel: real-time console, SFTP file management, one-click modpack installation, subdomain routing, plugin management, and Velocity proxy support — none of which you get out of the box with generic panels.
We relaunched publicly in 2026. The pricing is higher than it was in 2022 because the infrastructure is genuinely better. We do not offer "unlimited RAM" plans or shared-core pricing because those promises are not real. Every plan lists exactly what you get.
We are a small team. Every support ticket goes to someone who actually knows the platform. When something breaks — and occasionally it does — we post an incident note rather than hoping nobody noticed.
Six principles that guide every decision we make about the product, pricing, and support.
Every server runs on NVMe storage with dedicated resources. We do not oversell nodes or share RAM between customers. When you pay for 8 GB, 8 GB is reserved for your containers.
Our plans list exactly what you get — RAM, vCPU, NVMe, and player slots — with no hidden fees. Yearly billing saves 20% and we never lock you into multi-year contracts.
MelonNode is designed for Minecraft communities: small friend groups, mid-size survival networks, and competitive servers that need Velocity proxy support and reliable uptime.
We wrote our control panel from scratch. It includes real-time console streaming, a full file browser with SFTP, one-click modpack installation, plugin management, and Velocity network provisioning — none of which you get from generic Pterodactyl skins.
We currently operate from Paris, France (Scaleway POP2, fr-par). Rather than spreading thin across regions we cannot monitor, we optimise one location and do it properly. Additional regions are on the roadmap.
Support runs through Discord and an in-panel ticket system. We publish incident notes when something breaks and we respond to every ticket — no bots, no AI-generated copy-paste replies.
All Minecraft servers run as isolated Docker containers on dedicated hardware in Scaleway's POP2 data centre in Paris, France (fr-par). POP2 machines use AMD EPYC processors — a significant step up from the general-purpose VMs most hosts use — with NVMe SSDs on every node.
Each server gets its own container with a fixed RAM and CPU limit. Containers do not share memory pools. If your server is allocated 8 GB, no other container can use that memory, even if the physical node has spare capacity.
DDoS protection is handled by TCPShield before traffic reaches our infrastructure. All game ports pass through multi-terabit scrubbing with automatic attack mitigation.
Velocity proxy networks run as separate managed containers with automatic configuration. When you add a backend server to a network, the proxy configuration updates without downtime.
Current infrastructure
Built entirely in-house. No Pterodactyl. No generic reskins.
Real-time console
Stream live stdout/stderr from your container. Send commands directly without SSH.
File manager & SFTP
Browse, edit, upload, and download server files from the browser. Each server gets a dedicated chrooted SFTP account with one-click credential rotation.
Modpack installation
Select a modpack profile at server creation. The panel handles the correct loader, Minecraft version, and JVM flags automatically.
Plugin catalogue
One-click install for curated plugins (LuckPerms, EssentialsX, WorldEdit, and more). JARs are downloaded directly to your server — no intermediary storage.
Velocity networks
Create a managed proxy network and link backend servers with a single click. The panel writes Velocity configuration and restarts the proxy automatically.
Subdomain routing
Every server gets a unique subdomain under melonnode.com. You can customise it from the server settings page.
Backups
Automated daily backups with configurable retention. Download or restore any snapshot from the panel.
Solo plans from £6.99/mo. Network plans from £14.99/mo. No setup fees. Cancel any time.
